We are living through an unprecedented and unexpected time in history. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced our public education system to adapt daily to evolving changes, and our students, educators, and families are struggling to deal with new challenges.
Although my personal goal was to bring my community activism and business acumen to the County Commission, the challenges ahead for our educational system have caused me to pause and reassess where I can currently best serve our community.
My commitment to our community and its families is unmatched. For that reason, I am withdrawing my candidacy for Palm Beach County Commission, District 5, so that I can focus on leading the School District of Palm Beach County through the anticipated challenges ahead.
I sincerely appreciate all the support and encouragement I received from the hundreds of residents, community leaders, and donors that have been a valued part of my campaign.
Although I am withdrawing my candidacy for the County Commission, I plan to continue advocating for Palm Beach County’s residents, neighborhoods, and local businesses.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can ever be of any assistance to you or your family. I am going to keep working for you, and we will get through this together.
Again, thank you for your support.
Yours in service,
